Ailsa + Mark

Ailsa and Mark got married in an intimate wedding at the beautiful Lake District wedding venue, Eden Barn. With just 30 of their closest friends and family, they crafted a day that was personal and emotional, and had their relationship and the centre of everything. Mark got ready with the boys in Ravenstonedale, whilst Ailsa got ready with the girls at Low Ploughlands, across from Eden Barn. They chose to have their ceremony outside, and enjoy the panoramic views of the Cumbrian hills that Eden Barn offers.

Ailsa looked incredible in her figure hugging Riki Dalal lace gown, with beautiful rust and toffee coloured florals by Emma Cox Floristry. The barn was also styled to perfection with more tonal florals, fairylights, textured fabric runners, and a sculptural cake by Ashley at The Little Cakery. Inspired by Pamela Anderson's wedding, Ailsa was keen to have that rustic lake district vibe with pictures of her and the girls in their wellies. Speeches were back in the barn and they were emotional and heartfelt, with everyone in tears by the end.

With the most stunning golden hour drawing in, we decided to cut the cake and have the first dance outside, which really was such a magical and unforgettable moment, facilitated by the lovely Harker family that own Eden Barn, who always go above and beyond for their couples.

I loved being a part of this day, and documenting every second, from the anxious pre wedding moments, to quiet and beautiful portraits, to getting to know their friends and family and become a part of the celebrations, I'll never forget this one.
